Excursion to the exhibition "Third Breath": how teenagers discovered the world of emotions and feelings

Last week, 24 teenagers from the Place of Power visited a unique interactive exhibition "Third breath", which was dedicated to human feelings and emotions.
Why are such exhibitions important?
In a constantly changing world, where noise, anxiety and news do not give peace, it is extremely important to have a space where you can to stop, to feel, to live, to understand oneselfThe exhibition "Third Breath" is exactly about this, it helps you find that very moment of silence inside, get in touch with your own emotions, and simply be in the moment.
And although this day was declared by the organizers as a "day without children", our group became an exception to the rules and got to the exhibition - and it seems that we justified their trust 😄 After all, everyone behaved very politely and with great respect for the space and atmosphere.
What happened there?
Our tour was conducted by Julia Solovey — one of the authors of the exhibition. Her story was sincere, deep, and very inspiring. We walked through all the rooms of the exhibition, listened to sounds, touched sensory objects, splashed in puddles, watched videos, explored the space by touch and… by emotions!
Each participant could experience something of their own — remember, realize, or simply feel. Someone discovered memories that they had long hidden in the depths of their consciousness. Someone allowed themselves to experience sadness, anxiety, joy, or even fatigue for the first time. This exhibition became a safe territory for openness with oneself — exactly what we often lack in everyday life.
A word to teenagers 😎
- "Thank you for the opportunity to immerse yourself in interesting..."
- "Really, it was very interesting, but there was not much time"
- "Thank you very much for the tour, I really enjoyed it — it was great!"
- "I am very grateful A Place of Power for the opportunity to visit such a wonderful and important exhibition!
These words are the best evidence of how important it is to create such opportunities for teenagers. Because emotional literacy, the ability to hear yourself and talk about your experiences, are not just trendy words, but the foundation of mental health.
