"Experience, Friends, and Love": The Story of 13-Year-Old Dani
13-year-old Danya had no idea how the "Place of Power" would change his life. Today, for the energetic teenager, this space has become a real center of development, where he not only finds true friends, but also discovers new talents.
In his free time, the guy enjoys sports and active recreation. "I really like learning new things and developing myself", – says Danya, who used to wrestle and is now preparing for boxing.
Danya learned about "Places of Power" during the educational intensive "I succeeded!" from the Dobrodiyiv Club last August, where he met famous stars and got to know many of his peers. "I looked at the space's Instagram page, saw what classes were being held there, and became interested.", – the guy recalls his first impressions.
Without hesitation, the teenager signed up for the fall camp "Shoot-Influence," where participants developed their acting skills, learned to write scripts, met successful people, and participated in discussions with psychologists about overcoming the fear of public speaking.
"The course was really fun, I made new friends there", – shares Danya's impressions, for whom the first camp was the beginning of a close acquaintance with space.
Now the guy regularly attends various classes, especially board games and thematic lectures. "I recently attended a lecture with NABU detectives. After the class, I even had a desire to become a detective.".
Currently, the guy is participating in the course "These are (not) jokes for you", where, under the guidance of professionals, teenagers master the art of humor and public speaking. Dani's mentor was the famous stand-up comedian Oleksandr Zhypetsky, who helped him reveal his own potential. This Saturday, the final performance took place, where the guy presented his own jokes to the audience.
"This is my second time participating in such a course. Last time, I was very nervous during the final performance and even forgot my words, but it was very interesting to listen to the other participants and their jokes. I was even awarded a certificate after participating!", – Danya tells about her previous experience.
In the future, Danya has ambitious plans to participate in other space events. "I would like to sign up for therapeutic courses with a psychologist, but I don't have time for that yet. I would also like to see more interesting speakers, especially athletes.", – the teenager shares.
When asked what three words he could use to describe "Place of Power," Danya answers without hesitation: "Experience, friends, and love! There's a very warm company here, with whom I can spend my free time and tell everything that's bubbling up or that's bothering me".
The guy notes positive changes in his life since he started visiting the space. "After I started visiting the space, I began to understand other people's words and actions better. I learned how to spend my free time usefully.", – says Danya.
At the end of our conversation, the teenager has an important message for his peers. "I would advise other teenagers to visit the Place of Power. Because here you can realize yourself, become more confident, and not be afraid of criticism.".
