It seems to me that friends should be found in places like the "Place of Strength" - 15-year-old Maria
Maria is a schoolgirl studying in the 9th grade of one of the capital's schools. It would seem like a carefree time, because graduation and university are not soon. However, the girl says that she cannot wait to enter some creative university.
"The thing is that I am a creative, extroverted person, but there are almost no like-minded people around me, I have no friends at school at all. In addition, I sometimes do not understand my peers at all - I do not share their interests. I'm just not interested in school. That's why you can say that I'm just sitting around. I can only ask my classmates about homework. This is the end of our communication", - shares Maria.
The girl also admits that it is very difficult to tolerate changes.
"It's cool when you can adapt to anything and easily initiate changes in your life yourself. But, unfortunately, I do not have such a superpower, - admits the girl, - First - the coronavirus, then - the war - constant worries for the family. Last year there were even tantrums. Now I have calmed down a little. But I still don't understand how I endured all this".
The schoolgirl finds salvation in drawing, and also, she says, is fanatical about space, so she constantly reads and watches everything related to the universe, planets, and galaxies. However, these hobbies do not replace live communication with like-minded people.
"Because of the war, one of my friends went to the Czech Republic. The second - transferred to another school. One more – she took up sports and found a new company there. They have their own conversations, their own jokes and even seem to have their own language, understood only by them. I also dream of such a company, but creativelyin", she says.
Therefore, when one of her friends deleted a post about a workshop in the "Place of Power" - the girl decided to leave without thinking. But, he says, he did not have high expectations.
"When I found out that the event was free, I thought that there would be something not serious. But… if you only knew what happened to me there! An art zone filled with light... All these brushes, paints, glitter - and all this can be used without limit. I was in a trance there - I drew a lot. And it was the first time in a long time that I left somewhere with a smile. It was as if I found a long-lost sense of comfort there", Maria recalls.
Now the girl actively attends workshops, signed up for a therapeutic course and makes new acquaintances with teenagers who are as creative and expressive as herself.
"Generated "Klub Dobrodiyiv" space gives me the opportunity to express myself. Also, here I can tell stories that I sometimes do not dare to tell even to close friends and relatives. It's easier for me to find friends in such places, because that's why they come here, to get quality and friendly communication."
