Place of Power at Kurazh: behind the scenes of the teen zone
12–13 липня the Place of Power for (Im)perfect once again became part of Kurazh 💛 Over two days, in our teen zone you could explore your emotions, talk with psychologists, work through experiences through art, or simply breathe for a moment in these intense times.
This was a space where you didn’t have to be “perfect” — where you could be unsure, scattered, happy, or thoughtful — the most important thing was to be yourself. That’s why the teen zone turned into a safe spacewhere trust was born — in yourself, in others, and in the world.
Creativity That Supports
The main activity in the teen zone this time was the art therapy workshop “Affirmation Paintings” — a wonderful way to support yourself and focus on what matters. Participants created their own paintings with motivational phrases — short but meaningful messages to themselves. Through the creative process, they gained deeper insight into their state, moods, and needs, and anchored those feelings in a visual form. The format combined elements of art therapy, self-reflection, and modern emotional work.
Who Was with Us?
Over the two days, over 100 peoplevisited the Place of Power zone. Some stopped briefly; others stayed with us longer. Among them:
✨ 20 teenagers who participated in the art therapy sessions
✨ 19 children under 10, who joined older siblings and made their own paintings
✨ Adults curious about our activities — collecting resources, asking questions
What Remained After It Ended
We dared, created, laughed — and simultaneously explored our states and emotions. Each person took away something personal: their own affirmation painting — a visual reminder of support, warmth, acceptance, and a space where they are understood. The most precious gifts: a genuine interest in oneself, a deeper understanding of emotions, and the knowledge of how to care for mental health.
