"The most valuable thing in the City of Power is acquaintances": stories of our participants
Dasha is 14 years old, she studies in the 9th grade. In her free time, the girl attends military training courses and also visits the Place of Power with her friends.
Now the girl spends most of her time studying. "Lately, I've been mostly studying, because exams may still be introduced, and I'm worried about that" Dasha shares.
"My class teacher told me about military training courses. I tried it and I really liked it. We do everything that might be needed in military service, for example, disassembling machine guns or shooting. By the way, my team recently took first place in the assembly of a machine gun, and most likely we will go to the city competition."
A full-scale war caught Dasha in her hometown of Melitopol. At the beginning of the war, the girl and her family moved to Zaporozhye. Her sisters were also there, so she mostly talked with them. But the city was often under attack, so the family moved to Kyiv.
In the capital, the girl hardly left the house for several months, because it was scary. As such friends have not yet been there. But Dasha started attending a dance club, where she met future friends. Gradually, her own company of friends formed, and already in the summer, Dasha attended the first events of the Dobrodiyev Club.
Dasha found out about the Goodwill Club through her mother. "At first I thought it would be something boring, but it was really cool: I found a lot of friends, it was interesting, a lot of famous people."
"I liked meeting new people the most at the events of the Dobrodiyiv Club", - says the girl. For example, within the project "I Succeeded", as it turned out later, Dasha was in the same group as her future classmates. And now they communicate a lot and make friends.
After opening the Place of Power, Dasha usually visits the space on weekends.
- “I really, really like the Place of Power. I would visit it every day if it weren't for the lessons."
- "You can see how the team is trying for us: looking for interesting people, negotiating with the stars"
The girl also noted that it is very cool that there are psychologists in the City of Power. "Because you can come without a mood or with problems, and be able to communicate, get help."
Dasha really likes the freedom of space: "It's cool that you can go out and make yourself a cup of tea. If you're tired, you can just go out and rest."
