Month of discoveries: how January went in the Place of Power
"I will miss this place, but I will definitely come back!" — We often hear such warm words from our visitors, and they best convey the atmosphere of January in the City of Power. This month has become a real adventure: 1492 visits (yes, like the year of the discovery of America 😱) and 109 unique events gave each visitor special memories and impressions.
What cool things happened to us? 😎
January was a month of real discoveries! We launched four new courses at once, and everyone found something interesting for themselves. The course “Emotions are not a weakness” helped teenagers make friends with their feelings, Mindfulness helped them focus on what was important, and body-oriented and art therapy opened up new ways of self-expression.
This month, we hosted a winter camp of contemporary humor “These are (not) jokes for you,” which was attended by 34 participants! Over six eventful days, under the guidance of top Ukrainian comedians, they immersed themselves in the world of stand-up comedy. The teenagers not only learned how to write jokes — they gained confidence in themselves and their creative abilities.
For future entrepreneurs, we held a workshop on the basics of business, for history buffs – a lecture about the life of Kyiv youth in the 20th century, and with Maria Myronyuk we dreamed and planned 2025 (spoiler: it will be incredible!). Adventure lovers immersed themselves in the exciting games "Postapocalypse" and "Shipwreck", and at the Lego workshop we not only built structures, but also revealed our creativity.

In January, 13 school groups visited us and discovered the Place of Power for themselves, and for the youth project "Iron Change" we held a workshop on gender-based violence, where we discussed the importance of self-respect, setting personal boundaries, and learned how not to lose your strength even in the most difficult times!
