How to get ready for the school year easily and without stress?

Summer’s the best — sunshine, hangouts, and endless scrolling till 3 a.m. But somewhere on the horizon, it’s coming — the new school year.And if you don’t want to face it with a “why is this happening to me” expression, here are a few life hacks from our psychologists to help you slide back into rhythm without stress.

1. Wake your brain up — slowly 🧠

There are only a few days left before school starts, so it’s time to switch out of summer mode. Try going to bed and waking up a bit earlier than during vacation — even a few days of this schedule will help you feel more focused and less zombie-like on September 1st.

2. Warm up your knowledge base 📚

Think about what was hardest for you last year — math, English, chemistry? Spend at least half an hour reviewing formulas, rules, or topics you’ve forgotten over the summer. It’s like a warm-up before a workout — starting will feel easier, and you’ll feel confident from the first lesson.

3. Create your study corner ✨

Set up a space where you actually want to study. Add a warm-light lamp, a poster from your favorite show, or a funny pen holder. Even small changes make the atmosphere cozier — and in a comfy space, homework gets done faster and easier.

4. Set small but awesome goals 🎯

Forget the boring “get good grades” goal. Think of ones that truly inspire you — performing at a school event, launching a cool project, or joining a competition. School isn’t just about lessons and homework — it’s a chance to grow, meet new people, and discover something new in yourself.

5. Don’t forget about you 🫶

School matters — but your emotional and physical health matters even more. If you’re always stressed, grades won’t bring you joy. Take time for what recharges you: hang out with friends, do your hobby, play sports, or just enjoy a quiet evening with a book or show. Don’t forget to pause between study sessions to rest — balance is the key to staying strong and steady all year.
